Rural Reel

I have finished a series of weekly music video workshops at a youth centre in Shropshire as part of Rural Reel.  I was placed on this project by The Hive who organise music and art projects around Shropshire.  The Hive have placed me on other youth projects in the past but this is the most recent.

This is one example of some work that has been created at one of my workshops:

Squeezing Shropshire

I worked on a folk music event in summer 2010 at Wem Town Hall called Squeezing Shropshire.  The event was broken up into 2 sections; melodeon workshops in the daytime and a large melodeon concert in the evening.

The event was organised by a year 10 creative and media diploma group with help from their teacher.  I setup all the cameras for recording the event and helped the year 10s to vision mix.  I also setup microphones and sound equipment.

BBC Radio Shropshire

I work for Radio Shropshire as a casual broadcast assistant. I work on live programmes making sure that everything goes out on air as it should.  I have to connect the presenter to various interviewers weather they are in the studio, on the phone or on ISDN lines in other studios around the world.

I sometimes interview people myself for special programmes click here to hear an example
